Moon's Futurama Airdates n' Epcodes

Last update: 08/19/04.

I'm thinking about revamping this page as well as my Family Guy Airdates n' Epcodes to PHP and MYSQL so as to let the viewer decide which order to display this info in. Though Fox production codes still apply the number and order of episodes that make up a season have been shifted yet again by the release of the DVDs. Obviously the eps weren't aired in production order and so the only thing for sure is that when you buy all boxes you're not missing any episode ;)

Legend
The main purpose of my page is to give you an overview of the Futurama episodes and their titles so you can check out the ones you're still missing. Click on an episode title to get a synopsis of it in a popup-window. A click on the group ep number brings up the nfo to this ep.

Season:Refers to the way the eps have been aired on TV.
VCD:3 eps fit on a VCD so this number tells you at a glance on which CD a certain ep resides.
FOX ID:Almost every show produced by Fox has it's own unique production code for identification purposes which is usually mentioned in the credits. Futurama's code is xACVyy with

ACV = Futurama
x = season
yy = episode number of that season

e.g. 3ACV12 - The Route Of All Evil is episode 12 of season 3. So having a look at the Fox IDs you can easily see the original production order the eps were meant to be seen in.

Ep #:Because of Fox's inept shifting and pre-empting of Futurama episodes (mostly due to football) we - the fan base - were forced to use a different numbering scheme. We simply numbered them in order of first US airdate. So, e.g. 2ACV07 - Put Your Head On My Shoulder is episode #19 though it actually is episode #20 if you go by production order.

Please note: the Futurama DVD sets relased by Fox finally cling to the original production order so the currently available season 1 set covers 13 episodes: 1ACV01 to 1ACV13.

Group EP #:Luckily for us fans - especially the non US crowd who can't watch the original Futurama - there are several groups around that release eps aired on TV on the net. Though they use several formats they all stick to the same numbering scheme: e.g. S03E01 which is ep 1 of season 3 as aired on TV.
